One week website sprint: Building the Agent GTM website

Welcome back to The Agent GTM Newsletter where we share actionable tips, free AI tools, and market insights every Friday.

Hey there,

After Rob took a first pass during Thursday Night Football last week (see last week's newsletter), I took the site from first draft to publishable in a week, and we're live on AgentGTM.ai!

I wrote a PRD using ChatGPT, built the site on Lovable, and worked with my friendly AI co-workers all along the way.

For you all, I've recorded a Loom that walks through the build and the lessons that will help you tackle similar projects faster and more confidently.

Watch the Loom here. In it, I cover:

  • How a clear PRD made the structure and copy a breeze
  • Why Lovable gave me total design flexibility without using templates
  • How I embedded my first Agent.ai agent using webhooks
  • Where I got stuck in troubleshooting doom loops
  • How I worked with my AI teammates Claude and Chatty G

Lessons I learned during this process

  • Good planning goes a long way. I started this project by dictating my vision to ChatGPT on a walk (~15 mins). ChatGPT converted that into a PRD, which we uploaded into Lovable, and got a solid draft quickly. Copy-editing was the easiest part (and easiest to change once we start getting feedback)
  • The 80/20 rule matters more with AI builders. I probably could've launched this site in 20% of the time. 80% of my time was spent troubleshooting or trying to build features that I didn't need for my first launch. For example, I spent hours embedding an agent on a page. I should've started with a description of the agent and a link out to run it on agent.ai, but once you get started on a feature, it's hard to stop until you've built it.
  • Always get a second opinion. Mostly because I wanted to preserve Lovable credits, but also because I trust Claude, I would often pass information back and forth between the two (and ChatGPT) to make sure none of them were taking me down the wrong path. I was led down a very messy path to use Kit's APIs for newsletter sign ups, when there was a better way all along.

If you want me to break down any part of the build in more detail, reply and let me know.

More soon,
Shaalin

PS — If you’re building with Lovable, I’d love to swap notes. Just hit reply.
