Hey there,
How often do you think people work from coffee shops with someone worth meeting sitting 10 feet away and never talk?
I'm in a new city right now, with many remote workers, and they want to work near each other. It increases productivity & helps form new professional connections.
So I thought I'd build something...
The timeline:
- Friday: Had the idea
- Sunday: Spent 2 hours building v1 in Lovable
- Mon-Tue: Got feedback from friends, spent another 2-3 hours refining
- Wednesday: Hosted a coworking session using the app. Got positive feedback. Then walked into a coworking space, pitched it to the owner. She said yes β I can put QR codes on tables to test it with real users.
Idea β working prototype β testing with a real business in 7 days.
Here's what the app does:
You can wake up, see where people are working today, and go work with people at a coffee shop. Once you get there, you can see who's around (their Linkedin, industry, skills). You can ping someone to grab coffee or take a break together. And know when they don't want to be bothered.
I'd also love to see this encourage more sessions where people share their skills and knowledge.
I recorded a quick demo walking through how it works:

This isn't a polished product. It's an MVP I built in hours. that's kind of the point.
If you have an idea for a tool that solves a problem you personally experience β you can build it and test it faster than ever. Lovable made this possible for me with zero engineering background.
I'm optimistically thinking I can actually launch it in a city next week.. let's see if that happens ;)
