I spent a weekend vibe coding. Here's what happened.

Welcome back to The Agent GTM Newsletter where we share actionable tips, free AI tools, and market insights every Friday.

Hey GTMers,

Rob here. At Compound Planning, we’re in the wealth management business. Unlike B2B SaaS, where you sell seats, our B2B vertical revolves around recruiting financial advisors who bring established practices with existing client relationships. It’s a recurring revenue business, but instead of seats or usage, it’s client assets. That makes the experience we deliver to our advisors just as important as the experience we deliver to our clients. And their very first interaction — onboarding — wasn’t living up to the promise.

My team is responsible for making sure every advisor has personalized marketing content ready to go on day one — their webpage, multiple decks, FAQs, an intro video, and a social media announcement.

Here’s what onboarding used to look like:

  • A Google Form that stretched across 10+ screens (with no way to save mid-progress).
  • Three separate Google Docs with writing guides for bios, video scripts, and social posts.
  • A Google Drive folder to dump everything into.
  • Endless back-and-forth emails to track it all.

All of those moving parts added up. Instead of feeling like a clear, modern welcome to Compound, onboarding felt scattered and slow. It wasn’t the seamless first impression we wanted for advisors — or for our team.

So I did what any good marketer would do — I started vibe coding.

The New Experience

What I built is a marketing-specific onboarding flow that replaces the scattered docs, forms, and emails with one streamlined app. Instead of juggling Google Docs and endless email chains, advisors will soon be able to:

  • Enter their info in one place (no more 10+ screens).
  • Get AI-generated first drafts of their bio, intro script, and social post.
  • Review, edit, and approve — all in the same flow.

The direction we’re headed is simple: marketing onboarding that feels fast, modern, and easy — without all the scattered docs and endless emails. In other words, a first impression that matches the experience once advisors are truly at Compound.

How I Built It

This wasn’t an agency project or a months-long dev cycle. It was a weekend of vibe coding with some help from a few low-code apps.

  • I started with Lovable, where I uploaded PDFs of our old form, the docs, and screenshots from our platform to kick off the build.
  • It automatically wired up Supabase to store all the advisor data in one clean schema. (The word schema wasn't even in my vocabulary before building this.)
  • Then I used ChatGPT to help me build the n8n workflow as the back-end of the app — prompting it to generate code that I could simply copy + paste into n8n.
  • That trigger hands off the advisor’s data to an AI agent powered by ChatGPT, which generates the first drafts of the bio, script, and social post — and pushes them back to the advisor for review in the app.
  • Whenever the workflow broke, I used ChatGPT to generate and refine the n8n code until it worked.

Don't get me wrong, this wasn't a one shot prompt at all.

It took a lot of back‑and‑forth, debugging, and copy‑pasting JSON until the whole thing held together. This was my first time diving into n8n, JSON, and all these platforms, so there were plenty of moments that made my head spin. But it works beautifully.

Why It Matters

Technology might not be the only reason someone chooses Compound. Our team’s expertise across investments, taxes, equity compensation, and estate planning is just as critical. But technology is the platform that makes it all come together.

Advisors join us because they want independence and better tools. Clients trust us because those tools are backed by real expertise. Our new onboarding flow now reflects both — it’s streamlined, modern, and unmistakably Compound Planning.

Instead of weeks of scattered forms and emails, onboarding is now:

  • Easy.
  • Automated.
  • Human + AI working together.

And most importantly: a weeks-long slog collapsed into a single workflow.

That’s how I spent a weekend vibe-coding our advisor onboarding experience.

Keep building,
