Hey there,
In a couple weeks, I'm running a workshop at Nomad Week in Cape Town (Jan 25-31). It's a digital nomad conference, which means the audience is full of people who value independence, want freedom in how they work, and have specialized knowledge they've built up over years.
Here's what I keep thinking about: everyone has specialized knowledge. You might not think of it that way, but you do. You know how to do your job (or something in your personal life) in a way that's uniquely yours. You've figured out shortcuts, systems, processes that work. You've developed taste and judgment that can't be Googled.
For me, it was GTM stuff. I turned that into agents that thousands of people use. But the insight isn't about me - it's that this applies to way more people than realize it. So I'm focusing the workshop on how to use AI to productize your expertise. It's hands-on - people will actually build agents during the session.
Here's where I need your help
This is the first time I'm running this specific workshop. I'm structuring it now, and I want to make sure I'm focusing on what would actually be valuable.
The outcome I want: people walk out having built something real. Not just learned about AI agents in theory, but actually created one they can use or iterate on.
My current plan:
- What are agents? - Examples of some that I and others have built and what differentiates these from a traditional LLM
- Tools that everyone should be using (and pros and cons of each) - Agent.ai, Lovable, n8n
- Quick overview of how to build an agent
- Breakout session where everyone builds a very simple initial agent
- Show and tell
It's a lot to accomplish in an hour! But I think we can do it.
