A few weeks back I made the case that for doing design work with AI, an editable HTML file beats generating an image — because you can change exactly one element instead of re-generating the whole picture every time you ask AI to edit, and collaborators can edit it themselves.
Since then I put it to work on a real deliverable. Here’s how it went:
Jaclyn runs a one-person design studio. To win clients she gives away a free homepage audit that she runs personally. But the audits only moved as fast as she could analyze, take notes, and hit record.
So I helped her take the audit out of her head and into an AI agent. The agent is trained on her framework, her experience, and her standards. It writes a first-pass audit in her voice, and she reviews it, tightens it, and records the final Loom herself. Audits that used to run about an hour now take minutes. One recent one took 13 minutes from input to sent, with no edits needed.
She and I turned this into a case study using this framework. It’s a single HTML file she can edit right in the browser — fix any wording, drop in her headshot, then save and send it back to me. Check out the case study on my site
